Tiffany Schurrel Russell started her formal art education at a very young age. By the time she was ten, she knew her love of art and design was heading toward her dream of designing and producing costume and wedding gowns. By the age of 14, Ms. Russell developed a strong talent for patterning her own designs without the use of commercial patterns. Throughout high school, she designed countless dress and costumes for the performing arts community.
After high school graduation, Ms. Russell enrolled at Central Michigan University in 1997, with focus in apparel design. Knowing her deep passion to become a designer, she transferred to Parsons The New School for Design in 1998. Ms. Russell then spent the next year traveling the world, where her love for culture and design grew even further. After performing with UWP, she obtained a Bachelor of Arts in Fashion Design from the Illinois Institute of Art in 2002. While presiding in Chicago, she presented her designs at such events as: Red Hot Chicago, Extreme Fashion, and Great Bridal Expo She was also a finalist in The Fashion Group Foundation of Chicago, Inc: National Competition.
